The camera is more useful than I expected for everyday moments
I originally bought the G206 mainly because I wanted wireless headphones, and I thought the camera would just be a fun extra. After using it for a couple of weeks, the first-person camera is actually the feature I use most. I have recorded walks with my dog, short bike rides and a few hands-free clips while working in the garage. The perspective feels much more natural than holding a phone in front of me, and the EIS helps keep normal walking footage from looking overly shaky. It is still a small wearable camera, so I would not compare the footage to a dedicated action camera in difficult lighting, but outdoors during the day the detail is better than I expected. The headphones are comfortable for my normal one-to-two-hour listening sessions and Bluetooth pairing with my phone has been straightforward.

Good combination of headphones and a hands-free POV camera
I bought the black version because I wanted something that looked more like regular headphones and less like a camera strapped to my head. That is probably what I like most about the design. I can wear them normally for audio, but when I want to record something I already have the camera with me. I have mainly used it for weekend projects, cooking and a few outdoor walks. The 8MP camera is not trying to replace my phone for carefully framed photos, but for first-person video it makes a lot of sense because I do not have to stop what I am doing. Stabilization makes a noticeable difference when I am moving at a normal pace. The ear cups sit comfortably on my ears and connection has stayed stable around my apartment.

The G206 does what I wanted it to do: it gives me Bluetooth audio and a camera that records what I am actually looking at without needing to hold my phone. I use it mostly when walking, gardening and doing small DIY jobs around the house. Video during the daytime looks clear and the stabilization is useful because raw footage from a head-mounted perspective can otherwise feel jumpy. My only real adjustment was the on-ear fit. The first couple of times I wore it for more than an hour I could feel some pressure on my ears, so now I position the band a little differently and take a short break during longer sessions. I am giving four stars because I would prefer slightly softer padding for very long listening sessions.

Much easier than pulling out my phone every time I want a quick recording
I wanted a simple way to capture first-person footage while keeping both hands free, and this has worked well for that. I have used the G206 while assembling furniture, walking around the city and recording short how-to clips for friends. The biggest difference compared with using a phone is that I do not have to think about where the camera is pointed every few seconds. Once the headset is positioned normally, the footage follows my line of sight closely enough for casual POV recording. The electronic stabilization does not make every step disappear, but it reduces the small movements enough that the clips are much easier to watch. Audio playback is clean for podcasts and everyday music, and I have not had random Bluetooth dropouts with my phone.

Great for travel clips when I want to stay in the moment
I bought these before a short trip because I wanted to record little moments without constantly walking around with my phone in my hand. That turned out to be exactly where the G206 makes sense. I could listen to directions or music and then capture short first-person clips when something interesting happened. The footage has a very different feeling from normal phone video because it shows what I was actually seeing instead of looking staged. During daytime walks the image quality was quite good for this type of wearable device, and EIS kept the normal motion from becoming distracting. I was also less worried about light rain than I would be with ordinary electronics, although I still would not intentionally soak them.

Useful for commuting and POV recording, but low-light video is naturally more limited
I have been using the G206 on my commute and on weekend walks. As Bluetooth headphones they have been easy to live with: pairing was simple, the connection is stable, and I can listen to podcasts without carrying anything extra. The camera is what makes them different. In daylight, first-person clips are sharp enough for social posts, personal archives and quick documentation, and stabilization helps a lot when I am walking. At night or in dim indoor spaces the camera obviously has less light to work with, so the footage is not as crisp as what I get outdoors. That is not a deal breaker for me, but it is worth knowing if most of your recording will be after dark. I also needed a few sessions before I could identify the buttons instantly by touch.

I like being able to capture what I am doing without interrupting what I am doing
This is difficult to appreciate until you actually use a first-person camera. I do a lot of crafts and small repair projects, and normally recording means setting up a phone stand, checking the framing and then moving the phone again when I change position. With the G206 I can just work normally. The viewer sees almost exactly what I am looking at, which makes the clips much more useful when I am trying to show a process. The stabilization is especially helpful for small head movements because those can look exaggerated on video. The headset also works perfectly well when I do not need the camera; I use it for music and audiobooks around the house. The on-ear design is lighter than the large over-ear headphones I normally use.

A surprisingly practical tool for documenting field work
I purchased the G206 because I occasionally need to document equipment checks and wanted a way to record what I see while keeping both hands available. It has been much more convenient than holding my phone or wearing a separate action-camera mount. The first-person angle is naturally suited to inspection-style footage because when I look closely at something, the camera follows with me. EIS does a decent job smoothing normal movement, especially when walking slowly or standing and turning my head. I would still move deliberately if I wanted the cleanest possible footage, but casual clips are very watchable. The audio side has also been useful because I can take calls or listen to instructions between recordings without changing devices.

Interesting product, but make sure the on-ear style is what you want
The camera concept is genuinely useful and the daytime video quality is respectable. I used the G206 during a few walks and while working on my car, and I liked being able to record from my own point of view without a chest mount or phone holder. Stabilization also helps more than I expected. My three-star rating is mostly about personal comfort rather than the camera. I normally use large over-ear headphones, so the on-ear pressure felt more noticeable to me after a long session. For shorter sessions it is fine, and my wife tried the same headset and did not mind the fit at all, so this is probably very individual. The controls also require a little memorization because you cannot see them while wearing the headset.

Easy to use for family outings without constantly reaching for my phone
I wanted something for casual family outings because I noticed that every time I pulled out my phone to record, I stopped participating in what was happening. With the G206 I can capture short clips while still walking, talking and using both hands. I am not trying to make professional videos, so what matters to me is that the footage is clear, the perspective feels natural and I can start recording quickly. For that purpose it has been excellent. Daytime clips look good and the stabilization keeps them from feeling too shaky when I am moving normally. I also use the headset by itself for music around the house, so it is not something that sits unused between outings. The white color I chose looks cleaner in person than I expected, although naturally it shows marks more easily than black.

The first-person angle makes outdoor clips feel much more immersive
I use the G206 mostly for hiking paths, neighborhood rides and casual outdoor activities. I have owned small action cameras before, but I do not always want to deal with a helmet mount or chest harness. This is much easier to put on because it is already a pair of headphones. The POV angle makes the footage feel very immediate, especially when I look from the trail to scenery or down at something I am doing with my hands. Electronic stabilization cannot completely remove larger body movement, but it does a good job with ordinary head movement and walking. The headset has also handled sweat and a little unexpected drizzle without giving me problems. I still dry it off afterward and would not treat it like a swimming device.

After a week it became something I actually remember to bring with me
A lot of camera gadgets are exciting for two days and then end up in a drawer because they require extra mounts, charging cables or setup. The reason I keep using the G206 is that it already serves a normal purpose as my wireless headset. I take it with me for music, and the camera is simply there when I need it. I have recorded cooking, walking around a weekend market and a few first-person clips while showing someone how I organize my workspace. The footage in good light is detailed enough that I am comfortable sharing it, and stabilization makes handheld-style head movement noticeably smoother.
